Reading with Pals - Georgia and Katie

After hearing about the ‘Reading with Dogs’ therapets article, St Margarets Junior School’s Dyslexia Ambassador Georgia came up with an exciting school competition for Dyslexia Awareness Week called Reading with Pals. Pupils can read aloud to their ‘pal’ – a pet, a sister or brother, toy or doll and have someone at home take a photo of them. The photos were brought into school and everyone who entered got a blue ribbon, with a prize for the cutest, most unusual and most creative picture.

Katie, also in the picture, helped Georgia with a special dyslexia PowerPoint for the school assembly, too. Well done to both girls from us all at Dyslexia Scotland for showing your creatitvity and raising awareness of dyslexia!
